Nation’s Largest Bereavement Camp Arrives In Southern California

Grant From New York Life Foundation Helps Expand Services For Grieving Children

What: The nation’s largest nonprofit bereavement camp for children, Comfort Zone Camp (CZC) invites you to celebrate its new camp serving the southern California area made possible by a three year $3,000,000 grant from the New York Life Foundation.

CZC provides a safe and fun place for children to grieve by combining summer camp fun with group grief counseling. Campers at CZC are also comforted to learn they are not alone in their grief. At CZC they are surrounded by peers who truly understand what they are going through.  Since its founding, CZC has held 71 camps and served more than 3,300 children.  To date, campers have come to camps from 37 states and Canada.
