Virginia Directions

Virginia Comfort Zone Camps are hosted at two camps, Camp Hanover, in Mechanicsville, and Westview on the James, in Goochland.

From Richmond

Take Route 360 east toward Mechanicsville.
Take the by-pass around Mechanicsville.
Approximately 8 miles after going underneath I-295 turn Right at the light at EVB Bank and West Store onto Route 606 (Old Church Road).
Go 1.25 miles and turn Right onto Route 628 (McClellan Road).
Go 3 miles and turn Left onto Route 609 (Parsleys Mill Road) at the “Camp Hanover” sign. Proceed into Camp Hanover.

From Washington D.C.

Take I-95 south to I-295 south (Rocky Mount, NC).
Take Tappahannock/Route 360 East Exit.
Go approximately 8 miles after getting off I-295 and turn Right at the light at EVB Bank and West Store onto Route 606 (Old Church Road).
Go 1.25 miles and turn Right onto Route 628 (McClellan Road).
Go 3 miles and turn Left onto Route 609 (Parsleys Mill Road) at the “Camp Hanover” sign. Proceed into Camp Hanover.

From Charlottesville

Take I-64 east to I-295.
Stay on I-295 until exiting at the Tappahannock/Route 360 East Exit.
Go approximately 8 miles after getting off I-295 and turn Right at the light at EVB Bank and West Store onto Route 606 (Old Church Road).
Go 1.25 miles and turn Right onto Route 628 (McClellan Road).
Go 3 miles and turn Left onto Route 609 (Parsleys Mill Road) at the “Camp Hanover” sign. Proceed into Camp Hanover.

From Williamsburg

Take I-64 west to I-295 north to Cold Harbor/Route 156 north Exit.
Follow 156 north approximately 1 mile
Just past Ed’s Landscaping, take the right fork onto Route 630 (Market Road).
Take Market Road approximately 1 mile to fork, bear left and go approximately 2 miles to 619 (Rockhill Road).
Turn right, go .25 mile to stop sign at Route 628 (McClellan Road).
Turn left onto McClellan Road and go 1.75 miles to Route 609 (Parsleys Mill Road).
Turn right onto Route 609 at the “Camp Hanover” sign and proceed into Camp Hanover.

From Petersburg

Follow I-295 north to Cold Harbor/Route 156 north Exit.
Follow 156 north approximately 1 mile.
Just past Ed’s Landscaping, take the right fork onto Route 630 (Market Road).
Take Market Road approximately 1 mile to fork, bear left and go approximately 2 miles to 619 (Rockhill Road).
Turn right, go .25 mile to stop sign at Route 628 (McClellan Road).
Turn left onto McClellan Road and go 1.75 miles to Route 609 (Parsleys Mill Road).
Turn right onto Route 609 at the “Camp Hanover” sign and proceed into Camp Hanover.

From Washington D.C. (Approx. 2.5 hours to Westview)

Coming South on I-95, exit onto I-295 West, then exit onto I-64 West.
Proceed on I-64 West and take the Oilville/Goochland exit 167.
Take a short left on Rt. 617 to U.S. Rt. 250.
Take a short right (West) on U.S. Rt. 250 to Rt. 632.
Turn left on Rt. 632 and proceed to Rt. 522.
Turn left heading South. Proceed to Rt. 6 (stoplight).
Turn right on Rt. 6 heading West and follow the directions listed below from Goochland.

From Richmond (Approx. 45 minutes to Westview)

Coming West on I-64, take the Oilville/Goochland exit 167.
Take a short left on Rt. 617 to U.S. Rt. 250 West
Take a short right on U.S. Rt. 250 heading West to Rt. 632.
Turn left on Rt. 632 and proceed to Rt. 522.
Turn left heading South and proceed to Rt. 6 (stoplight).
Turn right on Rt. 6 heading West and follow the directions listed below from Goochland.

Scenic Route from Richmond

Travel Rt. 6 (River Road West to Goochland Courthouse) and follow the directions listed below for Goochland.
From Charlottesville - Approx. 1 hour to Westview.
Go East on I-64, take the Gum Spring exit and turn right onto U.S. Rt. 522.
Proceed to Goochland on Rt. 522.
Turn right on to Rt. 6 at the stoplight and follow directions listed below for Goochland.

From Goochland

Continue West on Rt. 6 for 4 miles.
At the "Rock Castle-Westview" hwy. sign, turn left on to Rt. 600.
Proceed about 6 miles on Rt. 600, follow Westview directional signs along the route.
Turn right on Rt. 643, West View Road. The camp entrance is about 1/2 mile on the left.
