The California Comfort Zone Camps are held at Camp JCA Shalom, in Malibu, and Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center in Orange.

Directions to Camp JCA Shalom

From Los Angeles:

• Take the Santa Monica Freeway (I-10) west until it turns into Pacific Coast Hwy (Route 1).
• Continue on PCH for 27 miles to Mulholland Hwy (Just past Leo Carillo State Beach campgrounds).
• Turn right onto Mulholland Hwy and go 5 miles.
• Camp JCA Shalom will be on the right side.

From the San Fernando Valley:

• Take the Ventura Freeway (US 101) west to Kanan Rd.
• Turn left onto Kanan and go 6 miles to Mulholland Hwy.
• Turn right onto Mulholland Hwy.
• After 1 mile the road forks-stay to the left onto Encinal Cyn Rd.
• After 3.5 miles, Encinal will end at Lechusa.
• Turn right onto Lechusa which will immediately end at Decker Cyn. Rd (23). 
• Turn right onto Decker for 3/4 mile to Mulholland Hwy (stop sign).
• Turn left onto Mulholland.
• Camp JCA Shalom is 2.5 miles from this point on the left side.

Directions to the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center

***Follow the map to Irvine Regional Park. At the Park’s gate, tell the attendant that you are going to the Outdoor Education Center (OEC) and the entrance fee will be waived. Once beyond the gate, take the first left. Proceed slowly, as there are large speed bumps on this road. Just past the second “horse crossing” sign, there will be a paved road on the left. Turn left there and head up the hill on the paved road. At the top of the hill veer right and you will see a parking area on the left. Meet there to be directed to your campsite.

From John Wayne Airport

• Follow signs for CA-55
• Take ramp onto CA-55 N
• Travel 7.9 miles
• Take exit onto E Chapman Ave. toward Orange
• Travel 4.4 miles and turn left at Jamboree Rd.
• The Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center will be on your right

From Los Angeles International Airport

• Follow signs to take ramp onto I-105 E
• Travel 1.3 miles and take exit onto I-405 S toward Long Beach
• Travel 24.5 miles
• Take a slight right at CA-22 E/Garden Grove Fwy (signs for Garden Grove/Garden Grove-Fwy/CA-22)
• Travel 12.7 miles. Then take exit 17C to merge onto CA-55 N toward Anaheim/Riverside
• Take exit onto E Chapman Ave. toward Orange
• Travel 4.4 miles and turn left at Jamboree Rd.
• The Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center will be on your right

From CA-91

• Take Green River Rd exit
• Turn left at Green River Rd
• Almost immediately, turn left to merge onto CA-91 W
• Travel 2.9 miles and take exit onto CA-241 S toward Irvine
• Travel 6.8 miles and take exit toward Chapman Ave
• Travel .6 miles and turn right at Santiago Canyon Rd
• Travel .9 miles and turn right at Jamboree Rd
• The Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center will be on your right

From CA-261

• Merge onto CA-241 N and travel 5.1 miles
• Take exit onto CA-91 W toward Los Angeles
• Travel 2 miles and take exit 39 for Weir Canyon Rd toward Yorba Linda Blvd
• Travel .4 miles and turn left at S Weir Canyon Rd
• Almost immediately, merge onto CA-91 E/Riverside Fwy via ramp to Riverside, and travel 1.1 miles
• Take exit 40 to merge onto CA-241 S toward Irvine
• Travel 6.6 miles and take exit toward Chapman Ave
• Travel .6 miles and turn right at Santiago Canyon Rd
• Travel .9 miles and turn right at Jamboree Rd
• The Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center will be on your right
