For a child who has had a parent or sibling die, the pain of grief is greater than the loss of a person; it's the loss of sharing all future life experiences with that loved one — sporting events, dances, holidays, graduation, marriage.
They also grieve the loss of being "normal." At Comfort Zone Camp, these children can be "normal" again. For the first time, everyone around them can relate. Because of that, these kids can focus on being kids again, and start healing. They leave camp more secure and confident, with coping skills that help them, as well as their families heal.
