In The Zone

The Zone is your opportunity to create your own fundraiser to send a child to camp. You can build a fundraiser out of anything - a lemonade stand, a dance-a-thon, or do something totally off the wall. Be creative! By raising $500 you can send a child to camp and change his or her life forever. Check out how others have accomplished their missions.

Zone Tips from Cooper
My name is Cooper Godfrey and I am 17 years old. I have been fundraising for Comfort Zone Camp for the past three years. I vowed to raise money for this unbelievable organization because of the profound effect that it had on my little sister. Although the camp is completely free to the campers and their families, it costs Comfort Zone $500 to send a child to camp. You can help send a kid to camp by holding several small fundraisers or one large fundraiser.
Here’s a list of fundraiser ideas that may not take too much effort, but will greatly benefit the camp:
- Create a lemonade stand and donate the proceeds
- Hold a bake sale at your school or work
- Have a garage sale and donate the proceeds or ask your neighborhood to jointly hold one and donate part of its proceeds
- Sell handmade items
- Throw a party or cookout and charge an entrance fee
- Create a sports tournament and charge an entrance fee
- Have a summer water balloon party for younger children in your backyard and have the parents give you an entry fee for their child
- Have a "casual day," where you pay a small amount ($1, or $5) to wear jeans to work or school
