This three day program is a strength-based, child-focused model, which includes age-based support groups facilitated by trained specialists. The program will facilitate icebreakers, confidence-building activities and other activities designed to facilitate trust, expression, and interaction among participants.

To be eligible for this camp, participants must be in between the ages of 7-20, in the Virginia foster care systen, and are receiving services through United Methodist Family Services.  

To register a child for camp, create a My Comfort Zone account by clicking Register a Camper on the left hand side of this page, or log into your account if you already have one. As you complete the application and there is no bereavement history for a camper please click on the "skip" button on the bottom of the page.  Once this is complete, a Comfort Zone representative will contact you to assist during part of the application and acceptance process, which includes a telephone interview regarding your child's loss history. Please note, the application process involves multiple steps. You will be notified of your child’s acceptance by our Intake Coordinator once that process has been completed.
