2019 April Hal Bruno Volunteer Training [In-Person in Indianapolis, IN]

Comfort Zone Camp is honored to partner with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to provide this camp for children and teens who have experienced the loss of a firefighter parent who has died in the line of duty and been honored at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, MD.
 

During this six-hour program, you will meet Comfort Zone staff, campers, and volunteers who will explain what to expect at camp and how our program impacts grieving children and teens. You will receive education about childhood bereavement and we’ll give you tips on how to be successful in whichever volunteer role you are selected to fill. The camp will take place at The Bradford Woods Outdoor Center in Martinsville, IN from June 28th-30th. 

 

Additional Information:

  • Up to 90 individuals are required for each camp session in a variety of volunteer roles.

  • Volunteers must be 15 years of age to be eligible.

  • Annual updates of Health History and Confidentiality are required. A Criminal Background Check is required for volunteers 18 and older - the background check costs $25.00.

  • The background check process will be described during training, and directions on how to complete that process will be sent out after you attend training.
