A fun and safe place for grieving children.

about us

Get Involved

There are many ways you can get involved and become a part of Comfort Zone's Community!

Volunteer - Comfort Zone needs approximately 85 volunteers for each weekend camp program. Adults 18 and up serve as Big Buddies, paired one-to-one with a camper. Teens 15-18 serve as Junior Counselors. Licensed counselors and grief therapists facilitate the age-based Healing Circle support groups, and registered nurses administer medications and serve as on-site on-call throughout the weekend.  These are just some of the many volunteer opportunities at Comfort Zone.    Learn more about what is needed for these roles and others>>

Refer Families - Comfort Zone’s services are free to families. Our greatest challenge is creating awareness. If you know a family in need of our services, share information about Comfort Zone Camp with them. The application process is online. We can also mail a hard-copy application upon request. If you do not feel comfortable sharing information about Comfort Zone directly and would like us to send it anonymously to a family in need, just let us know by sending an email to [email protected].  Learn more>>

Host a Fundraising Event - Spread the word about Comfort Zone while hosting a fundraiser. No matter how big or small, your fundraiser will help children to heal, grieve, and grow – and positively change a child’s life forever.  Learn more>>

Make a Donation - To continue providing our programs free of charge to grieving families, Comfort Zone needs your financial support. Any amount helps.  Learn more>>
